University of Mysore - Junior Research Fellows

Applications are invited for the posts of EIGHT Junior Research Fellows, to work in an Inter-disciplinary research project in the area of Nanotechnology entitled “Processing, Characterization and Applications of Advanced Functional Nanomaterials” sponsored by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi, under the CPEPA Program for a period of FIVE YEARS.



Essential Qualification : M.Sc., with First Class in any one of these subjects
– Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Microbiology, Polymer Chemistry, Applied
Geology, Geology, Earth Science & Resource Management, and Biotechnology.

Candidates with NET qualification are eligible for the JRF with full scholarship of month and additional HRA as per the rules for two years, and in the
third year fellowship with additional HRA.
If NET qualified candidates are not available, then the Candidates will be selected as Project Fellows with additional HRA as per the rules for two years, and in the third year the fellowship will be enhanced to Rs.16,000/- per month with additional HRA.

The Fellowships will be for THREE YEARS initially and shall be extended in special
cases as per the requirement.
The selection will be made through an interview. No TA/DA will be paid to the
candidates appearing for interview.
