National Institute of Rural Development (CGARD) - Jr Project Scientist/ Village Project Asst

The Centre on Geo-informatics Application in Rural Development (CGARD), NIRD, Hyderabad, proposes to conduct a ‘Walk-in-Interview’ on 21st July, 2012 at CGARD, NIRD for the following positions in the Project purely on contract basis and co-terminus with the Projects.



2.Junior Project Scientist (System Maintenance & hardware operation peripheral
Qualification:
B.Tech(Computers) with six months experience or BSc (Computer) / with 1 Year experience or B.Sc (Computers)/with RHCE / Microsoft Certification and Six Months experience. Desirable: For B.Tech Candidates, six months of experience must be in maintenance of computer hardware and system configuration with a good knowledge in network maintenance out of which six months should be in active hands on maintenance of hardware, software including network maintenance preferably in large organisations including Research & Training organization. For BSc candidates One Year of experience in computer system configuration / administration and good knowledge in network administration and maintenance out of which six months should be in active hands on maintenance of hardware, software including network administration preferably in large organisations including Research & Training organization. For candidates having B.Sc with RHCE / Microsoft Certification one year experience should be in active hands on maintenance of hardware, software including network administration preferably in large organisations including Research & Training organization. All candidates Should have a proven ability to trouble shoot find quick solutions and be able to install, maintain software, hardware including A0 Plotter & Scanners, should be well versed with operations and maintenance of GPS, DGPS & Total Station. Experience on blade servers will be considered as additional skill.

6.Village Project Assistant (Tech.)
Qualification:
Graduate Degree in Social Work with 1 year experience or Post Graduate Degree in Social Work with six months experience or Diploma in Social Work / Diploma in Civil Engineering / Agricultural Extension work with 2 Years of experience. Desirable: Good ability to interact with villagers, organise villagers and collect reliable data from the villagers. Experience of working with NGOs & other organisations engaged in rural areas / Panchayats / Villages will be preferred Highly experienced candidate with good knowledge of PRA, Data collection and ability to implement & coordinate development activities will be preferred even with lesser qualification like Diploma in Social Work or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Agricultural Extension work and proven ability to implement development programmes.

7.Village Project Assistant (General)
Qualification:
Graduate Degree in Social Work with 1 year experience or Post Graduate Degree in Social Work with six months experience or Diploma in Social Work / Diploma in Civil Engineering / Agricultural Extension work with 2 Years experience. Desirable:Good ability to interact with villagers, organise villagers and collecting reliable data extension work will be preferred. Knowledge of PRA with practical experience.Experience of working with NGOs & other organisations engaged in rural areas / Panchayats / Villages will be preferred.Highly experienced candidate with good knowledge of PRA, Data collection and ability to implement & coordinate development activities will be preferred even with lesser qualification. Knowledge of Hindi/ Marathi is desirable

The candidates who fulfill the qualifications / experience may Walk in for the Interview on 21st July,2012 before 11.00 am with their CV. The candidates should come prepared to attend the Written Test / Interview and register themselves on or before 11.00 am on 21st July, 2012 at CGARD, NIRD and bring with them the original certificates of qualification / experience for verification.
Out Station candidates will be paid 2nd Class Sleeper Rail / Bus fare by the shortest route on production of original tickets.
It is essential that the candidates should register themselves before 11.00 am so as to be permitted to attend the Test / Interview.
Candidates should come prepared for attending the Written Test / Trade Test / Personal Interview on 21st July, 2012 at CGARD, NIRD. The written test/ trade test is meant basically to assess the suitability of the candidates.
