CPCL - Technician / Trade Apprentices

Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL), intends to engage Trade, Technician and Technician (Vocational) Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 purely for one year Apprenticeship Training. The details of the Trades / Discipline, eligibility, stipend, etc are as follows:



1.Trade Apprentice
Fitter
Welder
MMTM
MMV
Qualification:
SSLC / Xth pass with I.T.I. certificate affiliated to NCVT securing minimum 60% marks (55 % for SC / ST).

2.Technician Apprentice
Electrical & Electronics Engg.
Electronics & Communication Engg
Chemical Engg/Petro-chemical Engg / Chemical Technology
Civil Engg
Qualification:
First Class Diploma in Engineering in the respective Discipline with not less 60 % marks (55 % for SC / ST).

3.Technician (Vocational) Apprentice
Office Management / Secretaryship
Qualification:
A pass in HSC (+2) Vocational course in Office Management / Secretaryship.

Selection Methodology: Selection will be based on the percentage of marks scored by the candidates in the relevant qualifying exam. In case of more than one candidate scoring the same percentage of marks at the cutoff level, candidate who has secured higher marks in SSLC / Matric examination will be considered. If the marks
secured in both the examinations are equal, candidate whoever is senior as per the date of birth will be considered. Reservation for SC / ST / OBC candidates will be as per the Apprentices Act.

Scrutiny of Certificates: Candidates in the ratio of 1:5 in the order of merit will be called to come in person
along with the Registration Slip and the supporting documents of their certificates for verification to ascertain the
eligibility criteria. The candidates must bring the attested copies of the following Certificates at the time of
scrutiny, without fail:
1. 10th pass Mark sheet
2. +2 Pass Mark sheet
3. Provisional Certificate (Diploma – for Technician Apprentices and NTC (ITI) – for Trade Apprentices)
4. Consolidated Mark list of Diploma (all 6 semesters).
5. Community Certificate (for SC, ST & OBC)
6. Transfer Certificate
7. Physical Disability Certificate (if applicable)
The list of the candidates to be called for the scrutiny of certificates will be displayed on our website on 20.07.2012.

How to apply:
Interested candidates should submit their application strictly ONLINE by logging on to our website www.cpcl.co.in and click on the link 'People & Career' between 09.07.2012 to 18.07.2012. On submission of application through online, the applicant could print out a Registration Slip for their record.
