The Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) has the following vacancy PhD Suspensions of sponge-like particles: Modeling their mechanical properties at the section Polymer Technology, Department of Mechanical Engineering



Qualifications of Applicant :
Talented, enthusiastic candidates with excellent analytical and communication skills holding a university degree (M.Sc., Diploma) in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a closely related discipline are encouraged to apply. Preferably, you should have experience with several of these topics: mechanics of materials, thermodynamics, transport processes, and computer simulations such as Brownian Dynamics simulations. Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.

The PhD position is available in the Polymer Technology group lead by Prof.dr.ir. H.E.H. Meijer. The candidate will be supervised by dr. Markus Hütter, and also collaborate closely with the other participants in the project, particularly with dr. Hans Wyss (same group) and the company Friesland Campina (The Netherlands).
