Filling up of 09 (nine) posts of Project Scientists in various categories on contract basis under the Project “Hydrothermal Studies” to be implemented by the Ministry of Earth Sciences through the National Centre for Antarctic & Ocean Research (NCAOR), Goa. The posts are purely temporary and on a project mode basis initially for a period of one year.



Post:
Project Scientist – B :
Essential:
Masters degree in Geology/Applied Geology or equivalent from a recognized
university with at least 60% marks at Post Graduation level.
Desirable:
Specialization in igneous petrology/petrogenesis and proven expertise in
marine/terrestrial hydrothermal mineralization

Project Scientist B :
Essential:
Masters degree in Geophysics/ Marine Geophysics or equivalent from a
recognized university with at least 60% marks at Post Graduation level.
Desirable:
Demonstrable experience in marine geophysical data acquisition, processing and interpretation.

Age Limit: Not exceeding (a) 35 years for Sceintist B, (b) 40 years for Scientist C,and (c) 45 years for Scientist D.
Age relaxation to the employees of GOI and SC/ST/OBC as per GOI norms. Age relaxation may also be considered in the case of exceptionally deserving candidates.
