SJVN LIMITED, A ‘Mini Ratna’ Schedule ‘A’ Public Sector Undertaking after successful
commissioning of 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station in Himachal Pradesh is emerging as a multi project company with following Hydro Power Projects allocated to it for development, operation and maintenance: 412 MW at Rampur, 775MW at Luhri, 66 MW at Dhaulasidh, 363 MW in Uttrakhand and 900 MW Arun-III in Nepal. The Company invites applications from the eligible candidates for the following positions:-

Electrician
Steno Typist

SELECTION PROCESS:

The candidates will be required to undergo a Written Test followed by Trade Test and/or Interview. The Written Test will be designed to measure certain skills and abilities that underline all functions in respective discipline. The Written Test will be different from the test taken in academic examinations, and all the questions will be of objective type. The typing test for Steno-typists would be conducted on the computers and not on type-writer.

IMPORTANT
1. Candidates to ensure their eligibility before applying:
The candidates should ensure that they fulfil all eligibility conditions. Their candidature at all the stages will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. Mere issue of Written Test / Trade Test / Interview call letter will not imply that his/her candidature has been finally cleared by SJVN. SJVN will take up verification of eligibility conditions with reference to original documents only at the stage of Interview/Personality Test.

2. Last date for receipt of Applications: 25th February 2011 All applications must reach the “Senior Manager (P&A), Recruitment Cell, SJVN Limited, Himfed Building, New Shimla – 171 009 (HP) on or before the closing date i.e.25-02-2011.
