Panjab University - Research Officer/ Research Associate - Others, Graduate, Master's Degree

Applications are invited in the prescribed format for the following posts for a UGC sponsored research project under CPEPA namely,  “Cultural Fixation on Honour: A Gender Audit of Punjab & Haryana”, to be carried out in the Department of Sociology, Panjab University, Chandigarh. 

Post:

Research Officer

Qualification:

  Masters with at least 60 per cent marks in Sociology/Women’s Studies/Social Work/Geography with specialization in Social Geography/Anthropology with specialization in Social Anthropology 

  U.G.C.-N.E.T. in Sociology/Women’s Studies/Social Work/Geography with specialization in Social 

Geography/Anthropology with specialization in Social Anthropology 

iv) Preference shall be given to candidates with Ph.D./Research Experience with Publications in reputed journals 

v) Preference shall be given to candidates having knowledge and proficiency in Computer applications.  

Research Associate

Qualification:

 Masters with at least 60 per cent marks in Sociology/Women’s Studies/Social Work/Geography with specialization in Social Geography/Anthropology with specialization in Social Anthropology 

  U.G.C.-N.E.T. in Sociology/Women’s Studies/Social Work/Geography with specialization in Social 

Geography/Anthropology with specialization in Social Anthropology 

  Preference shall be given to candidates with Research Experience 

  Preference shall be given to candidates having knowledge and proficiency in Computer applications

Field Investigator

Qualification:

Masters’ degree in Social Science with at least 60%      marks. 

  Preference shall be given to candidates with an experience of conducting field work/research. 

  Preference shall be given to candidates having Knowledge of Computer applications.

The tenure of these posts shall be co-terminus with the above said research project.
