Senior Research Fellow
Eligibility: MSc in Life Sciences, Chemistry or Physics.
Experience: Wet lab experience desirable for SRF, not mandatory for JRF
Job Description: PCR cloning, membrane protein expression, purification, detergent optimization, liposome reconstitution, metal-ion translocation
assays, crystallization, X-ray diffraction data collection, structure determination and analysis. Membrane expressing clones are available for a
couple of transporters.
Application Deadline: 20 thDecember 2012. Extendable if necessary.
Duration of the project: Jan 2012 to Sep 2014
Facilities available at ICGEB: State-of-the-art X-ray data collection, AKTAExplorer for protein purification, robot for nano-volume crystallization, CD, DLS, ITC, multi-detector array (RI+VIS+LS) for membrane protein
characterization and etc.
