Rubber Board - Scientist (BE/B.Tech/MSc)

Applications in prescribed format are invited for the following posts in the Rubber Research Institute of India under Rubber Board at its Headquarters at Kottayam, Kerala and Regional Research Stations in different parts of India.



Post:
1)Scientist A (Remote Sensing)
Qualification:
BE/B Tech/Master’s Degree in Remote Sensing/ Geology/ Physics/ Environmental Science/ Geography/Disaster Management/ Agriculture/ Forestry/ Horticulture/Geo-informatics with specialization in Remote Sensing/GIS.
Desirable: (1) Two years research experience in Remote Sensing/GIS as evidenced by published papers in peer reviewed scientific journals. (2). Pass in National Entrance Tests (NET) such as CSIR-UGC NET, GATE or equivalent. Place of posting: RRII, Kottayam in Kerala (with liability to serve anywhere in India).

2)Scientist A (Bio-informatics)
Qualification:
BE/ BTech/Master’s Degree in Bioinformatics/Life Science/Agriculture with specialization in Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Bioinformatics.
Desirable: (1) Two years research experience in Bioinformatics as evidenced by published papers in peer reviewed scientific journals. (2) Pass in National Entrance Tests (NET) such as CSIR-UGC NET, GATE or equivalent. Place of posting: RRII, Kottayam in Kerala (with liability to serve anywhere in India).

3)Scientist A (Climate Change)
Qualification:
BE/B Tech in Environmental Science or Master’s Degree in Science/Agriculture/ Forestry/Horticulture with specialization in Meteorology/ Climate Change Science. Desirable: (1) Two years research experience in Climate Change studies as evidenced by published papers in peer reviewed scientific journals. (2) Pass in National Entrance Tests (NET) such as CSIR- UGC NET, GATE or equivalent. Place of posting: RRII, Kottayam in Kerala (with liability to serve anywhere in India).

Last date for the closure of receipt of applications is 21.08.2012 and in respect of candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands or Lakshadweep or abroad is 28.08.2012.
All the posts carry Dearness Allowance and other benefits as applicable to Central Government Employees. Applications in the prescribed format (available in the Employment News / Board’s website (www.rubberboard.org.in) furnishing the details of educational qualifications starting from SSLC or equivalent, experience, etc together with photocopies of testimonials, certificates, marklists and publications in an envelope superscribed “Application for the post of ……………………….” should reach the Secretary in Charge, Rubber Board, Sub Jail Road, Kottayam-686 002, Kerala, so as to reach him on or before the date prescribed for the closure of the receipt of applications. Persons working in Govt./Semi Govt/Autonomous Organisation should send their applications through proper channel. Late applications will not be entertained.
